I usually pledge to the live show Kickstarters, so I'm on board for this one. I don't even care what the "rewards" are for this one.

I'd expect they'd go ahead and have Pearl, Bobo, and Brain Guy as the Mads for it since Mary Jo is already with Rifftrax. Probably also have Bridget as a bit player, hopefully.

While I love all of MST3k, the Sci-Fi years are still my favorite era of it (both because that's the era I started watching, and also I think the writing peaked at that point). Not that I wouldn't be funding whatever Rifftrax production they announced this year, but I didn't even hesitate to go ahead and pick up the Blu-Ray tier for this one.

I wonder what Joel is thinking?

Just right off the bat, this Kickstarter:
- Very low goal (So people know there's not going to be any problem hitting it)
- Relatively low threshold for getting at least something out of it ($30 for some videos/store credits, and probably stretch goals for even the $10 tier I'd guess)
- Rifftrax content itself has been of good quality in recent years (with some misses in there, sure)

I have enjoyed the reboot years of MST quite a bit, but I won't pretend that they're exactly universally lauded by the fanbase.  I have plenty of my own nitpicks, for sure.

I wouldn't be surprised if the success of this prompts Shout to launch another Kickstarter attempt for a full season of the show within the next couple years.
